Cóilín Ó Floinn

Cóilín is originally from New York. His primary degree is in History and Irish Studies, which he completed in 2000 at New York University. He was awarded the Higher Diploma in Education (UCD) in 2005. Cóilín joined Gaelchultúr as a trainer in 2005, and he worked with the company on a full-time basis from May 2006 developing syllabuses, teaching materials and lesson plans. Cóilín has completed the M.Phil. in Applied Linguistics at Trinity College Dublin. His dissertation focused on cultural and integrative motivation in adult learners of Irish.

Cóilín has taught Irish in a wide range of bodies, including the Higher Education Authority, University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology. He has also taught Irish with Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal.
