ar chor ar bith

Dia dhaoibh ar maidin!

I’m just a beginner with a translation problem. I’ve learnt that “ar chor ar bith” means “at all” in negative sentences, but how do I translate it in this sentence?

Cà bhfuil an buachaill ar chor ar bith?

a) Where on earth is the boy? (I can’t find him, where can he ever be?)

b) Where is the boy anyway? (apart from whatever we are talking about, please tell me where he is!)
