Anna asks her friend Jill about an interview she had earlier in the day.
Anna: | Bhuel, abair liom – conas mar a d’éirigh leat? Well, tell me – how did you get on? |
Jill: | Ceapaim gur éirigh go maith liom. I think I got on well. |
Anna: | An raibh tú neirbhíseach? Were you nervous? |
Jill: | Ní raibh mé ródhona. Chuir siad ceisteanna deacra orm ach d’éirigh liom iad go léir a fhreagairt. I wasn’t too bad. They asked me difficult questions but I managed to answer them all. |
Anna: | Cé mhéad duine a bhí ar an mbord agallaimh? How many people were on the interview board? |
Jill: | Ceathrar ar fad ach bhí siad go léir go deas. Chuir siad ar mo shuaimhneas mé. Four in all but there were all very nice. They made me feel at ease. |
Anna: | Cathain a bheidh a fhios agat cé acu an bhfuair tú an post nó nach bhfuair? When will you know whether or not you got the job? |
Jill: | Ba cheart go mbeadh a fhios agam faoin lá amárach. I should know by tomorrow. |
Anna: | Agus an dóigh leat go bhfuil seans maith agat an post a fháil? And do you think you have a good chance of getting the job? |
Jill: | Déarfainn go bhfuil. Ach níl mé cinnte anois an bhfuil sé de dhíth orm. I’d say I have. But I’m not sure now that I want it. |
